How to adapt the society 5.0 and its development, include learning and developing some essential entrepreneurial skills ?

Introduction

According to the japanese government,  Society 5.0 can be defined as a "Super Smart Society" that integrates the innovations of fourth industrial revolution, such as AI, robots, IoT and big data to address social concerns (Realizing society 5.0, 2024). Adapting to Society 5.0 implies more than simply embracing technological change; it also necessitates the development of critical entrepreneurial skills in order to properly capitalise on the opportunities it brings. The following will explain how individuals can adapt to the concepts of Society 5.0 while also learning and developing the entrepreneurial skills required to prosper in this dynamic environment. Hence, understanding the key ideas of Society 5.0 will allow us to achieve a human-centred society that provides comfort, vitality and high quality of life.

Developing Digital Literacy

Digital technology has integrated every aspect of human existence in recent decades. It's hard to believe that 3G networks were still in use in 2001. On top of that, 5G networks, which are 5000 times faster than 3G, are currently available to us (Palandrani, 2022). In addition, the new 6G networks are expected to significantly improve virtual reality technology and completely transform the way we live, work, and communicate when they go live in 2030 (Kranz & Christensen, 2023). Despite this progress, a significant portion of the global population still lacks internet access, with 260 million people offline (Mobile World Live, 2023). How are those people going to live in this avalanche of technology?

Digital literacy will be the most essential skills that help someone catch up on the newest digital technologies. By enhancing the skills of navigating, evaluating, and creating using digital technologies, people be sure will be able to adopt coming technologies in their daily lives (Aideen, 2019). This includes proficiency in using smart devices, software applications, and online platforms. In conclusion, digital literacy acts as a lifebuoy for all digital citizens, enabling them to stay alive in the rapid tide of technological innovation.

Enhance Critical Thinking Skill

Scipreneur, a concept that combines scientific learning and entrepreneurship which is crucial in this Society 5.0. To achieve Scipreneur, critical thinking skills are one of the vital abilities that entrepreneurs should possess, which enables them to effectively interconnect and use decision-making and problem-solving together (Sajidan et al., 2021).

There are two main stages in critical thinking, which are associating and questioning. An entrepreneur who is capable with associative ability is able to examine information, data and references, execute procedures and organize tasks (Sajidan et al., 2021). At the same time, strategic planning is necessary for an entrepreneur’s long-term business success, while critical thinking is important for establishing realistic goals and developing effective plans to achieve them (Mustafa, 2023). The questioning stage is also aligned with critical thinking. In this stage, entrepreneurs should develop their knowledge and curiosity, as well as have the courage to ask questions. Therefore, they will have the ability to eliminate irrelevant information, sort and choose reliable data, and encourage the use of deductive reasoning (Sajidan et al., 2021).

Problem-Solving Skills

Society 5.0 is a super-intelligent society that integrates technologies and aims to build an intelligent society by creating a "super-intelligent social services platform”. This will create new values by cooperating while cooperating with several different systems to facilitate human work (ForeignPolicy, 2016).  At the same time, problem-solving skills play an important role in adapting to this society for developing some essential entrepreneurial skills.

Nowadays, people with these skills learn how to develop a systematic mindset and organize and rearrange the data, information, and references to form them inside a model. These can help them to solve complex problems that require more formulated problems during Society 5.0’s competency. Not only that but they can also able to set goals and determine more methods and ways to solve the problems they meet. The combination of these skills can produce the learning indicator of judgment and decision making which help them to carry out their work in a more efficient way. For example, being able to unravel the problems and justify the right solutions, able to determine effective and efficient decisions, and also able to arrange the steps of solutions to be implemented to solve the problems in Society 5.0 (Saljidan, 2021).

Training Adaptability and Entrepreneurial Skills

Furthermore, it is important to develop adaptability and develop entrepreneurial skills. Adaptability encompasses not just the ability to quickly used to a new environment, but also the ability to quickly adapt to the advances in technology and society. In the environment of Society 5.0, society as well as technology are changing at an accelerating pace, providing flexibility critical for individuals in order to stay relevant and contribute effectively to their communities and companies (Guarda, 2023). This includes being willing to learn new skills, embracing change, and remaining adaptable in situations of uncertainty. Also entrepreneurship skills and adaptability have an unbreakable connection. Entrepreneurial skills include networking, execution, problem-solving, risk-taking, and more. With entrepreneurship skills are better able to discover opportunities, enhance value, and respond to challenges in an environment driven by focused on humanity solutions and breakthrough technology. In particular, the ability to execute enables individuals to turn ideas into action, whether starting a new business, driving innovation within an existing organization, or contributing to social development campaigns (Fukuda, 2020).

Conclusion

In summary, human progress has brought about reforms in different eras, each accompanied by significant challenges. In the reform of Society 5.0, people utilize artificial intelligence to better collect and analyze big data, subsequently providing feedback to humanity. This gradually perfects and effectively integrates data sharing between virtual and physical spaces (Dinis Guarda,2023).  Consequently, individuals are liberated from constraints, pursuing diversified high-quality lifestyles and values freedom with the support of existing technology (Hiroaki Nakanishi,2019). Therefore, action must be taken, such as changing mindsets and shedding stagnant ideas, to integrate oneself into Society 5.0 and contribute to its ongoing reform. The progress of the era has led to a better society. In the future, both the era and humanity should continue to strive for improvement. Brave individuals seize the world first. By keeping pace with the times, one avoids being left behind by the era.
